It didn’t arrive all at once. Change never does. It crept in through small decisions, quiet refusals, moments where I chose differently than before. Looking back, nothing seemed dramatic. But everything had shifted. The weight I carried felt lighter—not gone, just rearranged into something I could finally hold without breaking.
The room held a quiet tension, like something unfinished lingering in the air. I sat with it, letting the silence stretch longer than comfort allowed. Somewhere between thought and feeling, I realized I wasn’t waiting for an answer. I was waiting for permission—to move, to release, to become something I hadn’t yet named.
